Sunday, October 7 - Pulaski Parade!
The Kosciuszko Foundation is sponsoring a float and marching in the 2007 Pulaski Day Parade, on Sunday, October 7. We will be joined by cadets from the US Military Academy at West Point and debutantes alumnae. Our meeting time and place will be confirmed closer to the date.

A Szymanowski Gala is being presented on Saturday, October 13 at 2 PM at Weill Recital at Carnegie Hall. Marking the 125th anniversary of the great Polish composer's birth, the concert features internationally renowned musicians in piano solo, vocal, and chamber music. New York's Kosciuszko Foundation is organizing the concert, generously supported by the Cierpik Szymanowski Fund. Tickets are $25 / $15, and can be purchased at the Carnegie Hall Box Office, through CarnegieCharge at (212) 247-7800, or online at www.CarnegieHall.org. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of great Polish-born writer Joseph Conrad (Teodor Jozef Konrad Nalecz-Korzeniowski). More than 80 of his words have been the basis for films, plays, and television programs. Our programs will investigate the specific qualities that make Conrad’s writings so attractive and also the special issues that arise when they are adapted for visual presentation. More info...

Celebrating its 37th year, the Pro Arte League of the Kosciuszko Foundation was organized in 1970 by a group of women Foundation members to help beautify and preserve the public rooms of the Foundation House. This active group has continued to schedule fundraising events to promote its mission. More info...

Casimir Pulaski: A Hero of Two Nations

Premiere of New Documentary Film by Jolanta Chojecka
Tickets are $10; reservations are strongly recommended, and can be made by calling the Foundation Office at (212) 734-2130. Director Chojecka will be present to introduce the film, accompanied by her son Jacek, an actor who takes the role of Pulaski.The documentary covers Pulaski’s early career in Poland and his futile struggle against Russia, his journey to America, and his career in the American War of Independence. It features Interviews with scholars and historians, including Francis Kajencki and Edward Pinkowski, as well as extensive footage of historical sites and re-enactments. More info...
