Cavani String Quartet in
Kosciuszko Foundation Debut
Sunday, March 9, at 3pm
Szymanowski, Bartok, Beethoven Program
Their program features the Quartet No. 2 of Polish master Karol Szymanowski, as well as works of Bartok and Beethoven. Tickets are $30 ($25 for KF members), including a reception with the artists afterwards, and can be reserved by calling the Foundation Office.The Cavani String Quartet, winner of the prestigious Naumburg Chamber Music Award, has been described by the Washington Post a “completely engrossing, powerful, and elegant,” An irresistible presence on stage, the Quartet concretizes regularly in major series and festivals throughout North America an Europe. Active proponents of music of our time, the Quartet has commissioned and performed a world-wide array of living composers and has won numerous awards for its programming. Frequently featured on NPR and St. Paul Sunday, radio and television, they are committed to educational outreach through their “informances” at schools and colleges. More info...
