Long Island Baroque Ensemble

Kosciuszko Foundation

The Long Island Baroque Ensemble is featured in a special holiday concert on Sunday, December 16 at 3pm. Tickets are $30 (25 for KF members) including a reception with the artists after the concert, and can be reserved by calling the Foundation Office. As space is limited and these concerts are extremely popular, early reservations are highly recommended.

The concert will highlight Baroque music of Poland and her neighbors, for an ensemble of oboe, two violins, harpsichord, and cello. Works of Stanislaw Szarzynski and Martin Mileczewski will be framed by more familiar composers such as Telemann and Quantz.

Now in its 38th season, the Long Island baroque Ensemble uses historic instruments to recreate the unique characteristics of style and musical expression of the Renaissance, Baroque and Classic eras. The Long Island Baroque Ensemble is committed to authentically duplicating the sounds and ambiance of times gone by.
