Pro Arte League The Pro Arte League of the Kosciuszko Foundation was organized in 1970 by a group of women Foundation members to help beautify and preserve the public rooms of the Foundation House. An annual Fall luncheon usually generates at least a $5,000 donation to the Foundation. Among items purchased with the funds have been tablecloths, draperies, china, glassware, urns, floral decorations, new entrance doors, and a replicated stair railing for a new spiral staircase during the Foundation House major renovation. Fashion shows were presented during the luncheon for many years. Recently, programs have been featuring performances of a cultural nature, such as dozynki, opera excerpts from Halka, and the presentation of young talented students of music. The Pro Arte League meets four or five times a year at the Foundation House. The League welcomes any woman Foundation member interested in volunteering some to its mission.
